So, I had this friend — let’s call her “M.” She’s fun, outgoing, and the life of every party. But there was one tiny problem: she never paid for anything. Like, ever.

At first, I didn’t think much of it.

We all cover for our friends sometimes, right? But eventually, it became a pattern.

And guess what? She never came back.

We haven’t really spoken since.
