Mel and her husband Nick had always shared a loving and trusting relationship. They met six years earlier, quickly fell in love, and built a peaceful life together filled with honesty, laughter, and future plans. When Nick decided to train for a marathon before turning 35, Mel fully supported him.
Every Saturday morning, he woke before sunrise to meet his running group at the local park.
